Welcome to Morningside
Dr. Kent Johnson founded Morningside in Seattle in 1980. Morningside has two programs: a non-profit school for children and youth, and a teachers' academy.
Morningside Academy's school helps both elementary and middle school students to catch up and get ahead. Its students have not previously reached their potential; many have learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, or ADD/ADHD; all have average to well above average intelligence. Morningside is not a school for children with significant emotional problems, behavioral problems, or developmental delays.

Look here for a video introduction to Morningside Academy. Our videographer, is Evan Kline, current high school student and former Morningside Middle School student.
We are currently interviewing families for student openings for the 2012-2013 School Year. Click here for admissions information.
Morningside Academy has been awarded the 2010 SLU Chamber of Commerce Award for Best Non-Profit! More information here!
